Oh my goodness, I only just found this one (must get my but over to your gallery 😳 I haven’t been there yet today!) I love this image - it’s so sensitive, perfect for Nijinsky, I wonder what came first the image. or the quote? Either way it doesn’t matter, it works Beautifully. The power of vulnerability to communicate so much. Lovely.🥰❤️🦋🥰❤️🦋🥰

The words were rooted out to accompany the image.

Seeing your Romany men come to the fore the other night sparked me thinking of who *historically* radiated this look in an interesting manner. It didn't take long for Nijinsky to step up. 

The approach to bring him to life, as with Chopin, leads all the way back to my days with crafting 3D models of historical figures. Spartacus was my first true exploration in this process, about 15-16 years back.

Truth is, there was always a kindred appraoch to my photographic portraits going back to my teens. Very little technique employed with GAI is actually new for me, it's just re-visted and re-mingled with expressive possibilities that were not available to us until now. True, I think, of yourself and many others.  

I can see what you mean. I think I’ve been crafting many of these portraits and fantasy figures most of my life. I have certain themes that I instinctively gravitate towards and they appear again and again in my collections. I’m always searching for that underlying story that underscores each image. Since we’re only seeing the tip of the iceberg with a portrait, I want to capture as much as I can of what might lay beneath the surface. 😊🥰❤️🦋

Nijinsky in *'Le Spectre de la rose'* was like nothing I'd seen before. He danced a fifteen-minute solo and it passed like a dream. He was wearing a silk tricot  onto which were pinned dozens of silk Bakst petals, pink and red and purple. The most exotic creature, so beautiful, like a shiny, graceful bird on the verge of flight. He leapt as if it cost him no effort, lingering in the air far longer than was possible, and seemed not to touch the stage between movements. I believed that night that a man might fly, that *anything* was possible.
