GPT Image 1, developed by OpenAI, is a multimodal text-to-image model launched in April 2025, succeeding DALL-E 3. Built on advanced transformer architecture, it creates high-quality images from text prompts, supporting styles like photorealism, pixel art, and abstract illustrations.
It excels at precise prompt adherence, rendering detailed visuals, coherent layouts, and accurate text within images, surpassing DALL-E 3 in instruction-following and photorealistic quality. The model also supports image editing, though mask-based edits may lack precision.
On NightCafe, GPT Image 1 enables creators to produce professional-grade visuals for concept art, marketing, and storytelling, offering robust capabilities for artistic exploration with reliable text rendering and stylistic flexibility.

Worth the credits. All success, only thing is recently, don't know if the prompt is to complicated or if there's some bugs because been getting errors. Other than that love it.
I have had 5 prompts rejected in a row, to include two provided by Vincent. These are fantasy images that I wanted to make a direct comparison with GPT1 High since I had a free attempt left today. I would like to know why prompts are rejected, but not entirely unhappy--everything was refunded. And I learned that fantasy images are apparently not supported.
Wow definitely accurate with the prompts. Love the realism im truly impressed.
Sepia colour cast on most of the images; they look like they've been spray-tanned.
I know NC wants beginners to use this, but IMHO it is too expensive for beginners. Imagine wasting 17 credits to get something different from what you wanted. It could very frustrating. I know GPT1 Low was made exactly for that, so you try before risking. But sometimes I think "hmm... Better using Flux Pro Ultra than this".
Yeah, it's kinda mid. Not nearly as creative as DALL-E 3. Lacks the quality of some other models. Still prone to making frustrating mistakes.
Nothing like how D3 would've rendered this... had only one free run to spend on it and deffo disappointing for my style and subject matter.
17 credits? AI is becoming more expensive!! That is pretty much 85 cent a generation.
First test perfectly true to chatgpt image quality 👍 Well done Nightcafé!
Not so good. May want to check out other users before wasting credits.
