Callowhill Industrial Historic District This model is based on the photographic style I used while documenting a Philadelphia, PA, USA neighborhood known as Callowhill Industrial Historic District.
This neighborhood inspired filmmaker David Lynch's first film, "Eraserhead." As Lynch rememebrs Callowhill, "The fear, insanity, corruption, filth, despair, violence in the air was so beautiful to me." Because of this, many Philadelphia residents affectionately call this neighborhood "The Eraserhood."

I published many of the images behind this model in my book, "Walking the Eraserhood," which documents my (and Lynch's) experiences there, both in literal terms and re-imagined stylistically as an art-historical exploration. Book is available at https://walkingtheeraserhood.com โ๏ธ โ๏ธ
