Before all things, there was only the Light,  pure, whole, creator of the world and of human emotion. But with consciousness came error, and when the Light saw the suffering born from its own creations, it began to break. From its tears emerged the Living Darkness, a reflection of its wounded heart.

Selene, an empathic healer, offered herself as a vessel for that darkness. She transformed pain into hope, hatred into understanding. But the world, accustomed to her sacrifice, stopped seeing her as human. They sent her their suffering with indifference, as if bearing the darkness were a duty, not a gift.

Over time, Selene realized that what she healed always returned. And when the last light within her went out, the Living Darkness took form: a queen suspended above the forest, overflowing with black magic, with eyes that once were light.
