Created for a challenge. "Tartan" was the theme. As it happens, I have previously published a handful of creations featuring a Japanese girl whose family has recently moved to Scotland and renamed themselves  "Clan MacSugiyama," with their very own tartan pattern registered with the appropriate government agency. Naturally, I was inspired to use that concept one more time for this challenge. The idea is that young Rina MacSugiyama is walking down the street in Edinburgh as she shops for various things, and of course she's wearing a skirt in the pattern of her family's recently-established tartan to show her respect for the traditions of her new homeland. 

The original prompt called for this to be a watercolor painting in the style of Frank Frazetta, but I see that prompt magic threw in other influences.
