Battle Axe of the Dire Wolf - inspired by @Corrosion42

Legendary (This weapon requires attunement, Str 18, and martial melee proficiency to wield).

You gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls and damage with this magic weapon.

This versatile martial melee weapon deals 1d8 magical slashing damage when used one-handed and 1d10 when used two-handed.

Once attuned you gain the abilities of the Dual Wielder Feat (PHB 165), as well as the features: Keen Hearing and Smell, and Pack Tactics (MM 341).

On a successful hit with this weapon it deals additional damage as per a Wolf Bite: Melee Weapon Attack: 7 (2d4 +2) piercing damage. If the target is a creature and takes two consecutive hits on one turn, it must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

If the attuned wielder is separated from this axe by a distance greater than 50’ the axe will Howl like a Dire Wolf until reunited, un-attuned, or the wielder dies.
