Rust and Stardust

The main protagonist of Tears.

Cameron formerly was a very successful man. Happily married, he has a wonderful daughter, a good relationship with his father, and a good paying job.

That was before an event that occurred before the events of the story. 

During tears he writes about his experiences, and it slowly shows his life falling apart one event after another.

To cope with this he begins to use hard drugs and alcohol. Due to substance abuse this causes his life to collapse even faster.

His family collapses and his boss eventually puts him on sabbatical. 

The most troubling of all is the violent visions and twisted sights he keeps being subjected to. 

His father eventually moves in with him to make sure he has some sort of a support system. And as each day goes on those events occur more and more often, resulting in Cameron’s rapidly declining mental health.

He was once kind and hardworking, and now has become a harsh and paranoid person, fueled by his addiction.

Cameron uses his establishment to cope, and lies to his friends and family that he is working late but in reality he is just drinking.

Luke is the closest thing Cameron has to a friend towards the end of the story. He has a soft spoken voice and has a personality similar to an uncle. Outside of mixology he enjoys old cars, and owns a cane corso. 

He genuinely cares about Cameron and has driven him home on multiple occasions.

He is very muscular and has a unique mustache. His favorite alcohol is gin. But has openly stated that he only drinks on special occasions.

He is mostly commonly seen wearing a vest and a tie, usually in a yellow color.

His bar is the only individually owned bar in the area, making it an underdog and somewhat expensive and popular. 

His name is a reference to the Bible book of the same name.

Cameron’s boss.

Robert is the owner and founder of a small tech company. Supplying local businesses and other local services with computers and other technology. 

Throughout the story he tries to help and reach out to Cameron but he doesn’t succeed.

He wears a signature grey suit and is in his sixties. 

Robert is the wealthiest character in Tears, but comes across as very humble. He often donates to charities and schools in the area.

He is one of two characters in the storyline that isn’t named after a biblical figure or the Bible itself alongside Cameron.

He loves chocolate and always has a chocolate bar on his desk. Additionally he always has a unique fountain pen that was custom made  on his desk aswell. He does not write in cursive.

He eventually cannot cut Cameron any more slack and puts him on sabbatical.

Much like the other characters he does care for Cameron’s wellbeing.
