Gullfaxi is a celestial horse whose name means "golden mane" or "golden horse".
The horse's original owner was the giant Hrungnir. Later, Thor gave Gullfaxi to his son Magni as a gift for removing the fallen giant's leg that was covering and trapping him after their fight.
