“I have a feeling that the Tok’ra will have a dead end,” said Bjornson. “As we discussed in our last briefing, we could be dealing with a minor Goa’uld who is trying to fill the power vacuum left by the demise of the System Lords.”

“I agree,” said Carter. “Nevertheless, I want all my bases covered.” Bjornson nodded.

“With regards to Maerywnn’s unique ATA abilities I’ll forwarded things to onto Carolyn and Daniel. I'll contact Rodney on Atlantis and have him check the Ancient Database. For now, let's keep this between us,” Carter said.

“Understood,” replied Larkin.

“As for the Ancient Long Range Communication Device, that is disturbing. Helena, do you feel it’s effects?”

“Not that I can tell, General,” Helena replied. “Colonel Larkin did brief me on its effects.”


“That's a relief,” said General Carter. “Colonel, once the Seabees get situated I want you and your team to go back to the cave and search for any other Ancient technology. Let me iterate, the Goa’uld must *not* get their hands on Ancient tech.

“Understood, General,” said Larkin. 

“Helena, regarding your Naquadah infusion by the Rogue NID, I agree with Cate, it was a botched operation. I'll have Tyra make a house call. It will take her 48 hours to get to you. She's currently on board the *Janet Frasier*. Until then, monitor your symptoms closely.

“Acknowledged,” Helena said.

“Also, Helena, regarding your request regarding Father Crooker and the villager’s religious texts, I approve it. He'll have access to the materials under secure handling protocols,” General Carter said.

Helena smiled faintly, relief in her. “Thank you, General,” she said softly.



As they finished eating an alarm beeped on Fairbairn's tablet. “We've got an incoming wormhole,” the Scot said. She looked at her tablet. “Receiving an IDC. It’s Stargate Command.”

“Lower the shield,” said Larkin. He motioned for his team to gather around the camera. The screen flickered to life and General Carter appeared. She sat at her desk, a couple of portfolios were neatly stacked off to one side. On the wall were several framed photos including her with SG-1, one with her, her father Jacob, and Martouf, and a large artistical rendering of the Prometheus and an F-302.

“SG-24, this is Stargate Command. Do you read? SG-24, this is Stargate Command. Come in please,” said General Carter.

“This is SG-24. We read you,” said Larkin.
