"Now watch", said my faerie, hovering beside me. I felt on my cheeks the air moved by her wings, and with it her inebriating perfume. My heart raced. I was utterly in love.

Meanwhile, in the clearing, the pink light coalesced in mid-air and slowly the particles grouped to form an elongated brillant pink shape that started flapping above the pink-robed faerie. It was a miracle so wonderful I felt dizzy.

"Wings!" I exhaled. "Those are..."

My love giggled, flying in front of me. "Yes!" she crystalled. "Isn't it magic? Isn't it beautiful? Isn't it joyous?"

"Yes, my l--" I said, and she laughed even more.

"Finish it, Maddie! Finish the word!"

"My love", I hushed. "My love."
