Grooving through parts unknown, not bothering with the squares smartphone GPS, this truly righteous couple was finding their way across the lower 48, one town at a time, just letting themselves drift like wild blown leaves man, from one diner and slice of pie to the next.
And there's nothing much that can get them down, they're a dynamo together, oscillating off each other's smooth optimistic vibes.
He sings show tunes from television shows older than both of them combined and she doesn't mind how corny it is because he sounds good singing them.
She paints a toenail a new color for every state they pass through, so far, she's got a purple, green, blue, red, pink and yellow. Her left foot, who knows? They aren't planning that far ahead.
They sing for their supper at dive bars, in parks and just about anywhere they can pull out their guitars and just jam and people gravitate to their groove and leave em some scratch, it keeps the tank full as the VW rolls on down the road.
