This looks so ominous ... Awesome! It must be rather overwhelming having to process all these facts and information for Ashildr while sitting in the dark remains of a what seems to  be once glorious library. 🥰👍👏👏👏👏

After having closed the book - at the moment, there were no new notes from Clara to be read - Ashildr closed her eyes. She needed a moment to herself, enshrouded in silence and darkness, to take in and process what had been thrown at her in these last few hours.

She was separated from Clara and Caten, the TARDIS had shut down, she had barely escaped a pack of killer drones, only to be rescued by an Egyptian god who turned out to be an alien wanting to get home - who convinced her to break into a heavily guarded ruin where she now sat in a forgotten library reading a magical book. Well, not magical, she admitted, but wondrous nonetheless.

Clara's notes were the only means of communication between them - but unfortunaly, most of them did not quite make sense to Ashildr. Among the many names and suspicions she had read, one still echoed in her mind.

This could not possibly be a coincidence, she thought. Aliens disguised as Egyptian gods. A murder carried out by a ritual dagger. The victim a rich English financier with an interest in Egyptian artifacts. And a power source that had been stolen from the aliens by just that expedition the victim had been financing.

What was it that Anubis had said about his brother Horus? _He was the one who devised the plan to recover what was stolen from us all these years ago._

What was it that Anubis had told her of his sister Bastet? _Her cunning unmatched, she relied on stealth and intrigue to guard the kingdom. She was the one who tracked down the raiders in Highclere._ Could she murder someone and then track down the artefact on her own?

Highclere must have had a weighty heart indeed if he was able to acquire such immense wealth by stealing it from other cultures. Would Anubis be capable of murder, because he had deemed the victim unworthy?

Somewhere in the library, a dozing book fell off its shelf, a muted thump echoing through the darkness. Startled, Ashildr woke up from having dozed off herself. Clara's book was lying in her hands, closed, silent, _waiting._
