Named after the eccentric self-styled alchemist George Plommar, these boxes were used to transform inanimate material into various organisms via an unknown method of transfigurative magic.
Decried as a fraud in his later years, George destroyed most of the boxes he had constructed and sold to collectors in a series of arson attacks.
This is one of the five remaining boxes which he was unable to destroy due to suffering an aneurysm at the age of 49.
This image shows a retro-futuristic display case filled with amethyst, tanzanite, and beryl crystals. The composition and lighting create a dynamic and visually striking image, reminiscent of M.C. Escher's style with vivid, polychromatic colors.
