The villagers whispered about wolves in the forest, but none suspected the truth about the widow Vaduva. Under the cold moon light's solitude, she screamed and howled as the trasnformation began. Fingernails extended into claws, fangs erupted from her gums, blood trickled from her eyes. The forest seemed to recoil around her, even the wind stilled as her metamorphosis continued.  In these moments, Eliza was caught between worlds -woman and beast - her mind still her own while her body betrayed her with unnatural hunger.
