I will treat your text as I would do with my students:

"cruel" rain: it's didascalic. No need to specify. Much better let the reader *understand* that the rain is cruel. Cruel is too human-specific for rain, so rain could be cold, annoying, obnoxious... it's what the rain evokes in his/her mind that is cruel.

Same as "Do you think" -- you are talking directly to the reader. Something I would avoid, at least for now. You could say something like "Everything is getting blurry and it's not only because of the rain." Let the reader fill in the blanks.

(Side note, but this is really minor considering that English is not your language as it's not mine: it's *past* days, not "passed*.)
