Not a second could have passed since she had been drawn in by that warm, comforting glow. Yet it felt like an eternity when she was falling through the void. _I must have been teleported to... somewhere?_ she thought. Before she could gather herself and check her surroundings, a sinister male voice boomed through the corridor, the volume amplified tenfold by the low walls and ceiling. _A ventilation shaft maybe?_ she caught herself thinking, trying not to focus on the voice. Something she had hidden deep inside her memories warned her to turn around, forget about the voice. She knew it. She knew him. "I keep a photograph to remind me how wonderful I was."

Oh, and a stained-glass windows!  I have a stained-glass room - and I adore that type of art. 10 years ago someone throwed away 10 beautiful stained-glass windows during the renovation of a music school in some little town not far from Kyiv. 
Some guy found these stained glass windows - and put them up for sale online. They must have been hanging there for a long time, because when I saw the ad and wanted to buy two windows (I don't know why, but how could I let the real art go to waste?) - he made a huge discount, and also agreed to pay for delivery to my city. So I became the owner of TEN stained glass windows. Eight of them now are in two rooms in my house: in fact, we were only going to slightly enlarge the old veranda, but in the end we made two separate rooms for these stained glass windows. 

How wonderful! I used this result *because* of the windows. 
Your house sounds like an Art Piece - with you involved, I'm not surprised. 10 windows - what a bounty! More rooms is usually a good idea.
