And now you're one of them, a creature so daunting. 
Fangs in the neck, body on the snow, 
No longer human, your fate now aglow.

The reckoning I awaited with bated breath, 
Ready to pull the trigger, to bring death - 
Sawn-off shotgun aimed at his temple so bare, 
But my hand slipped, and I froze in despair.

- At that moment, I was set to send him away, 
To the next world, with nothing left to say, 
But something within me changed its course, 
And I found myself unable to enforce.

- Once like everyone else, now changed,
Possessed by Satan, my mind deranged.
Once lived among people, but now estranged,
Their deaths I crave, my hunger unchained.

- Anticipating the moment of reckoning,
When I can pull the trigger, my will strengthening,
To deprive the offender of their life,
Retribution's rite, to end their strife!
