This is an imaginary plant based on an actual plant. Many things would have to magically come together to realize it, including giant size, balloon buds that remain fully closed and airtight, filling with methane gas to make them buoyant, and bioluminescence to make them glow. Overthinking? Yes, and limited by my scientific bias, but I like the idea and visuals of floating heavenward rather than creating chimeric flora, at least on short notice.

Platycodon grandiflorus (from Ancient Greek πλατύς "wide" and κώδων "bell") is a species of herbaceous flowering perennial plant of the family Campanulaceae, and the only member of the genus Platycodon. It is native to East Asia (China, Korea, Japan, and the Russian Far East). It is commonly known as balloon flower (referring to the balloon-shaped flower buds), Chinese bellflower, or platycodon.
This enchanting scene depicts a tranquil Japanese garden at dusk, featuring a winding stream, picturesque bridge, and lush vegetation. Ethereal balloon flowers, glowing from within, float upwards, filling the evening sky with a magical glow.
