These rabbits were mad for lettuce and would, apparently, kill for their *greens-desire*!

Common folk were laid-waste to their fearsome impulse.

Even an offering of a full head of lettuce didn't slake the rabbit's *blood thirst*...

And we are left to wonder, what became of these barbarous hares?

If the Smithfield Decretals are to be believed (and I see no reason not to invest faith in them), then medieval rabbits were absolutely BAT-SH*T!!
