Plaza of the Great Beast in Kavaas Village

One of the mysteries of Irkalla in the Kuiper Belt is the effigy of the Great Beast in Kavaas Village. The huge figure has been in place longer than memory; Kavaas grew up around it. One legend claims the Great Beast will save the village if it is ever in peril; another, that the Great Beast will rouse "when the stars are right" and destroy the village. So far, the Great Beast has yet to move even one millimeter. A few villagers aver the Great Beast is nothing more than an oddly shaped outcrop of fungi, but even they watch it carefully...very carefully.
