The Commandments of Christ

Jesus said unto him, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself" (Matthew 22:37-39)

Also:

"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." ( John 13:34)

Jesus' commands are few. He fulfilled the Mosaic Law perfectly, and offers us a Covenant of Grace in its place: Love God, love others, love the brethren sacrificially, the way He loves us. Feeling love is wonderful; making the choice to obey Christ pleases Him greatly. This week, share an image demonstrating Christ's commands. Jesus said:

He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him (John 14:21)
