Lol, I wasn't familiar with that one, but a few similar ones I had heard of. It's interesting that the thought was, "better spend effort for a bad time when you die," in several cultures. 

I think the Mayans had a similar deal, but I stopped reading around the time I saw “river of scorpions.”
